What is Express Entry?
Express Entry was designed to assist with facilitating the Permanent Residence process for skilled workers to Canada. It is a points-based system and there are three separate programs managed through Express Entry.
Those three programs include:
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
There are minimum eligibility requirements and to apply you must submit an Express of Interest (EOI) to the Express Entry Pool.
The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is one of the immigration pathways under the Express Entry system and it best suits those who have skilled work experience in occupations that are in demand in Canada. There is specific eligibility criteria that needs to be met including work experience, language proficiency, education, etc.
The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is one of the immigration pathways under the Express Entry system and it best suits those who have work experience in trades. There is specific eligibility criteria that needs to be met including work experience, language proficiency, education, etc.
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) pathway under the Express Entry system is best for those who have already gained skilled work experience in Canada. There is specific eligibility criteria that includes requirements for work experience, language, job type, etc.
